External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Ramón Nomar. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20120717005441/http://avnawards.avn.com:80/past-shows/past-winners/2012/ to http://avnawards.avn.com/past-shows/past-winners/2012/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Nationality
[edit]I see nothing in the source used to give his nationality that he is Spanish. It says he is Venezuelan. This source gives Ramón Guevara but the article does not say if he acts under that name. This source says that he is Mejor actor español. Finally IMDB connects Guevara and Nomar but not that he is Spanish. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 05:44, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
- Perhaps you're right CambridgeBayWeather although we still have to talk about this, but my main concern is that the original version of this article said "Spanish" until the IP changed it. If the IP had made his/her case here on the talk page then I would've had no problem with that because that would reassure that the IP has benevolent intentions but when the IP decides to take the offence rather than be diplomatic then that's when we have a problem. IPs are tricky and you never know what their intentions are until they make their case on the talk page. For the record, the IP should have started this talk section instead of us doing it for the IP, again, I think there should be a rule that registration should be required to edit articles. - Well thanks for your help, CambridgeBayWeather. Correct, he is Veneuzuelan born. And thanks for protecting the page. And no, the Wikipedia community atleast does believe that anyone can edit, be it an IP or a user. There is nothing you can do to change that, Non3up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.178.163.208 (talk) 05:57, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- 101.178.163.208 The page was protected, most likely on the wrong version to stop you edit warring. I'm just glad that you're starting to use the talk page. (N0n3up (talk) 07:46, 2 May 2018 (UTC))

- On the contrary, you have done pretty much the same, you are no saint. Having said that I'm glad you responded to Cambridge's post.101.178.163.208 (talk) 02:04, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- Apparently all you do is boomerang other editor's arguments, now it's time you get serious with your answers. This is your first edit on this article. It said "Spanish" before you began editing it then you came along and changed it, and rather than explaining yourself on the talk page here (others had to do it for you and haven't provided a single argument) and per WP:BOLD it stays on it's original version, unless you have some good arguments otherwise. (N0n3up (talk) 01:42, 10 May 2018 (UTC))
- This edit war is starting to get ridiculous. Let me just try to sort out the history of the article:
- When the article was created in 2011, the nationality was given as Venezuelan, unsourced. This was later changed to Venezuelan Spanish, also unsourced. In this edit by Guy1890 in May 2014, the nationality was again corrected to just Venezuelan, the same info was given in the infobox, and the info was sourced to the iafd source still in the article. That source states explicitly the his nationality is Venezuelan.
- This was stable for about half a year. Since then, there has been endless series of reverts and re-reverts, mostly by IPs and accounts with one or few edits. The nationality has been given sometimes as Spanish, sometimes as Venezuelan, sometimes as Spanish Venezuelan, often with the infobox saying one thing, the opening sentence something else. The source, however, has never been changed or challenged. The last two months, two editors, 101.178.163.208 and N0n3up, have reverted eachother repeatedly more than a dozen times, both calling the other's edits vandalism. None of the edits seem to have anything to do with vandalism. This kind of edit war is disruptive by itself, generally creating a hostile editing climate, and discouraging other people from editing. Attempts by CambridgeBayWeather and myself have also been reverted.
- This has been going on long enough. I am not particularly interested in the article as such, but I do care about how Wikipedia works. CambridgeBayWeather referred to the source in the edit summary of their edit and wrote a note in the talkpage. I referred to the source in my edit summary. Even the IP101.178 referred to the source in this edit summary. Nevertheless, all those edits have been summarily reverted.
- N0n3up, please see the source. Then you seem to have two choices. One is to present sources that state that his nationality is something else than Venezuelan. In that case, you need to come up with a proposal on how to combine the info from the two sources. The other possibility is to self revert. Choice is yours. --T*U (talk) 15:44, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- Referring to a source is not the same as presenting one on the talk page. Remember that there needs to be done more than just saying that a source exists, there needs to be consensus. It's not constructive editing when someone doesn't collaborate in an uncivilized manner by edit-warring and personal attacks which disrupts the peace in Wikipedia. Like you, I too care about how Wikipedia works and the IP's lack of unwillingness to take it to is concerning, now if the IP is noble enough to discuss this right here then that would be a step forward. (N0n3up (talk) 04:14, 11 May 2018 (UTC))
- The source is in the article, and has been there for four years, unchanged and unchallenged. If presenting the source in the talk page is what it takes, then I hereby present it: SOURCE. It is linked six times in the article and states explicitly "Nationality: Venezuelan". Yes, there needs to be consensus, but unless you can challenge the source or find another source saying something else, there is consensus, since everybody except you seems to accept the source. Edit-warring to keep a version of the article where the givens sources directly contradict what the article says, just because one editor is un-cooperative, is plainly disruptive. Enough! --T*U (talk) 05:44, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

- Non3Up, others??? The others only took it to the talk page after I told them about your behaviour. And Neil was right about you, you need a reminder. TU-Nor, thank you for your help. Non3up has the audacity to scold me but fails to look in the mirror.101.178.163.208 (talk) 05:57, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- The FICEB awards are awards given out in Spain, but those awards are not necessarily indications of the nationality of the adult film performers that are awarded there. IMDb isn't a valid source for biological information on Wikipedia either. I'm not expert on Venezuelan nationality, but I assume that if one is born in Venezuela that one's nationality (not citizenship, which can be different) is Venezuelan. Guy1890 (talk) 03:01, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
- I changed it to Venezuelan since sources indicate brought by editors. And note the last post by the IP reading claiming that it's other's responsibility to fetch the sources for him/her rather than supporting a new edit made by him/herself. Remember that if you make a new edit and gets reverted you need to take it to talk rather than edit-war. And since this case has been settled in the talk page then I'm more than content with the change. (N0n3up (talk) 03:13, 12 May 2018 (UTC))
- I've changed his nationality to Venezuela weeks ago, and Non3up was disruptive. At first I wrote 'Venezuela born', but Non3up kept being disruptive. He/she was gave trouble to another user. Where did I say that that 'it's other's responsibility to fetch the sources for him/her'. Don't put words into my mouth.101.178.163.208 (talk) 06:01, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
- I'm saying that everyone is responsible for their own edits. If you make a new edit and gets reverted, you respect WP:BRD and take it to talk like all good editors and you can't depend on TU-nor or other editors to fetch sources or arguments for you, you have to do it yourself, your edit, your responsibility. Apparently you're too troublesome to follow the rules, go and learn how to edit. (N0n3up (talk) 14:19, 12 May 2018 (UTC))
